Get Ready to Create in November! π¨π
I hope this newsletter finds you bursting with creative energy as we dive into the wonderful month of November. With the holiday season approaching and cozy vibes in the air, it's the perfect time to embark on some exciting art projects
1. "30 Days of Gratitude" Art Journal
November is often associated with giving thanks, and what better way to express your gratitude than through art? Create an art journal dedicated to 30 days of gratitude. Each day, sketch or paint something you're thankful for. It could be your morning coffee, a favorite book, or a special memory. This project will fill your days with positivity and mindfulness.
2. Fall Foliage Photography
The autumn leaves are putting on a breathtaking show, and you can be the star photographer! Take your camera or smartphone outside and capture the beauty of fall foliage. Play with angles, lighting, and colors to create stunning compositions. Share your photos with us on social media using #CreateArtInNovember!
3. DIY Nature-Inspired Home Decor
With the colder weather settling in, it's time to cozy up your space. Collect fallen leaves, pinecones, and twigs during your outdoor walks. Then, transform them into beautiful DIY home decor pieces. Create a wreath, paint some leaf-themed coasters, or arrange a rustic centerpiece for your Thanksgiving table.
4. Novel Writing for NaNoWriMo
If you're a writer or have always dreamt of writing a novel, November is the month to do it! National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) challenges you to write 50,000 words in 30 days. Channel your inner wordsmith and let your imagination run wild. Don't forget to check out our "Writing for Creatives" episode for inspiration.
5. Collaborative Community Art
Art has the power to connect people, even from afar. Join our Create Art Podcast community art project! We're starting a collaborative mural where each listener contributes a small piece of art that represents their perspective on the theme of "Unity." Stay tuned for details on how to participate and see your art become part of something bigger.
6. Artistic Recipe Book
Cooking is an art form too! Document your favorite fall recipes in an artistic way. Sketch the ingredients, illustrate the cooking process, and make your recipe book a work of culinary art. It'll be a delightful addition to your kitchen, and you can even gift copies to friends and family.
Remember, the journey of creation is just as important as the final masterpiece. Embrace imperfection, enjoy the process, and share your progress with fellow artists in our online community. We're here to support you every step of the way!
What I am doing in November
NaNoWriMo- This is my 4th year of doing this. I have a new novel to share with my listeners. Catch it on the website. All episodes this month will be dedicated to NaNoWriMo. Here is the link for those shows
Idea Space - Talking about the Why for your podcast
Resonate Podcast Conference - the 2nd year of this conference in Richmond Va. Looks like this one might have some legs because they sold out all the tickets within 2 months.
Thanksgiving - here in the US we celebrate the dinner between the pilgrims and the indigenous peoples of the new world. For me, it is a time to say thanks and be grateful for what we have and to invite others to share in our bounty.
